Frequently Asked Questions
Are your games genuine and sealed?
Yes. Every game, console and accessory we sell is 100% authentic, factory-sealed stock sourced through official channels. Optrenex Retail is operated by Optrenex International General Trading L.L.C, a licensed UAE distributor (Trade License 1546242), and every item is verified before dispatch.
Is this the UAE / Middle East (R2) edition with Arabic subtitles, or an import?
We state the edition on every listing — look for the UAE VERSION badge on the product page. Middle East (R2) editions include Arabic menus and subtitles wherever the publisher provides them. If an item is an import edition, we label it clearly so you always know exactly which SKU you are buying.
Do you deliver to all 7 Emirates and how long does it take?
Yes — we deliver to Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, Ajman, Umm Al Quwain, Ras Al Khaimah and Fujairah. Orders placed before midnight are dispatched for next-day delivery, and delivery is free on orders over AED 200.
Are prices in AED inclusive of 5% VAT, and will I get a VAT invoice?
All prices are shown in AED and include 5% UAE VAT. A VAT-compliant invoice carrying our TRN 105290096400003 is issued with every order.
Is the warranty valid in the UAE and who honours it?
Yes. Consoles and hardware carry their official UAE warranty, honoured through Optrenex as a licensed UAE distributor. Games and sealed software are covered against manufacturing defects — any defective item is replaced.
Are PS5 discs and Switch cartridges region-free in the UAE?
Yes — PS5, Xbox Series and Nintendo Switch software is region-free, so any disc or cartridge we sell plays on your UAE console. Note that downloadable content and store credit remain region-specific to your console account’s store region.
Can I pre-order launch-day titles and when are they dispatched?
Yes. Pre-orders are confirmed at checkout and dispatched for launch-day delivery across the UAE. Rewards members earn Wallet Bonus on pre-orders exactly as on regular orders.
What is your returns policy?
Unopened, sealed items can be returned within 7 days of delivery in line with UAE consumer protection guidelines. Defective items are replaced at no cost. Contact us on WhatsApp at +971 50 484 5644 to start a return.
Which payment methods do you accept?
Cards are accepted worldwide via Stripe, alongside Google Pay — all charged in AED. For customers in India only, Razorpay and Cashfree provide UPI, netbanking and wallet payments.
